Francesca Hojda or "Franci" as she is affectionately nicknamed by her sisters became a nod to her childhoood and with the pressures of life, love, school she wanted to remind herself of something , who she really is... So "ImStillFranci" was born.
imstillFranci’s music is rooted in the deep bond she shares with her family. Growing up as the youngest of five siblings in a small Romanian town, Sighetu Marmației, music was always at the heart of their home. All her sisters sang, and Franci started writing songs at just 8 years old, inspired by both the traditional Romanian music that surrounded her and the pop songs she loved. Music became her outlet for navigating the highs and lows of life. Now, at 20, she’s turning those early experiences into powerful, heartfelt songs that speak to anyone who has ever struggled to find their voice in the face of heartbreak.
Her debut single, “King” (November 8th, 2024), is about more than just a broken relationship—it’s a testament to her strength, about moving on and reclaiming your self-worth.
The richness of “King” comes from its authenticity. With real musicians playing every note—drums, guitars, bass, piano, and cello—the track has an organic depth that mirrors the emotional journey in her lyrics. Franci’s voice weaves between the pain of being let down and the empowerment of knowing your worth. It’s a song that doesn’t just reflect on heartache—it turns it into something beautiful, something that heals.
Looking ahead to her debut EP in 2025. For fans of Olivia Rodrigo and Lizzy McAlpine, Franci offers a fresh, young voice that’s rooted in honesty and resilience. Her music is a reminder that, no matter how young, we all have the power to turn pain into joy and to rise after the fall.
